{March 24, 2011}   Royal wedding shoes

The forthcoming royal wedding has so far been kind of unusual in that it has set all sorts of trends – this is probably because in ye olden days of olde, there wasn’t the technology and fast communications for the kind of almost real time trending that we see these days.

The dress Middleton wore when the engagement was announced inspired many garments at all price points aiming to help the wearer get that effortlessly confident Kate look – and when the actual wedding takes place there’s likely to be a media genre all of its own dedicated to Kate fashions.  Expect few stories about William’s choice of suit though 🙂

Kate’s choice of clothing for the wedding will be a big media ticket no doubt – and there’s even been conjecture about what her choice of shoes will be.

Fast fashion and the real-time on trending phenomenon means that it’s likely there will be Kate inspired  shoes on sale this spring summer season.

{October 11, 2010}   Winter Coat – it’s time!

Autumn surely becomes winter, day by day, The sun’s shining right now but it’s also time to start thinking about how to wrap up for all the cold weather that’s on the way. And with some sub-zero temperatures predicted again this year, it’s going to be chilly alright, so what better way to stay warm than with an on-trend winter coat that doesn’t cost the earth. A winter jacket that will look as good as it feels and cost less than it looks.
In what is sure to be the best year yet for online winter clothes shopping, the retailers’ sites are full to bursting with new stock as we reach mid-October. For anyone who wants to stock up their winter wardrobe on a budget, now is the right time as the era of internet shopping has truly arrived.
Blanket coats are on trend this season and sure to provide style and warmth in equal amounts, with a chic wraparound front sure to gather many admiring glances wherever you decide to take it. The blanket jacket is relaxed, easy going outerwear – why not ‘build the look’ with over-knee suede boots, skinny jeans, and some stylish knitted headwear. Make the winter 2010-2011 season one to remember!
From their acclaimed winter collection Peacocks present their inexpensive checked wraparound Ladies Blanket Coat. Blending a modern look with a traditional warmth and comfort, this is a garment that will keep the elements at bay while not breaking the bank. Its classic black and white check and modern cut make it this year’s perfect winter coat.

Its Valentines Day on Sunday and we hope that many of the men out there have their gift options covered – however, if youre looking for some last minute inspiration for a gif t, then you cant really go wrong with a nice bag.
There are a vast range of women’s bags out there. One of the most difficult aspects of Christmas shopping is actually making that final purchasing decision, we’ve all been there with the doubt swirling around our minds: ‘i like it, but will she like that colour!?.
We thought that we would try and help a little by outlining five bags which we think anyone would love. We’ve included options from the cheap and cheerful end of the scale to some slightly higher budget bags. We hope that you agree with some of our choices.
Peacocks – The prices are so decent on the Peacocks website that you could probably buy 2 or 3 bags from Peacocks. However, we especially like their chic and cheerful range of Clutch Bags, which at £6 are great value.

M&SMarks and Spencer always have a solid range of bags and this year is no exception, they are well made and excellent value for money – we like this cross shoulder bag which comes in a t £39.95.

AllSaints – Fashionistas love AllSaints for their edgy designs and high quality fabrics, their bags this year exemplify this output. This Zeena Bag is one of the cheaper options (£120) that they offer but it is still very cool.

Jigsaw – A High Street favourite in the UK for a number of years now, Jigsaw retain an aura of quality and elegance, combined with a great design sense – this Tote Bag is a great example (£159)

Hermes – No we are getting serious. You know that you are dealing with a quailty bit of gear when the cheapest bag on offer is a purse that costs over £500! A bag from Hermes however should be seen as an investment – our cost-is-no-barrier option would be this Garden Party Bag, which only costs £1560.

Well, thats our choices – hopefully something nice for your Valentine there!
