Maternity clothing has became an issue for us recently, as we are now of the age that alot of our friends and colleagues are ‘falling’ pregnant. As if the major, life-changing responsibility of bringing a child into the world wasn’t enough stress, another major worry is ‘oh no!, how am i going to look good pregnant.’

Perhaps our generation are suffering flasbacks from remebering our mothers, whom, pregnant with our younger siblings would wander around for about 4 months looking like an escaped out-patient, wearing tent-like blue ponchos – not very flattering.

Well, the good news is that there is now a decent selection of stylish and affordable maternity wear out there. These are some of the better maternity wear selections available at the moment.

As per usual, we haven’t really had a summer here at our base in Glasgow. We are not even getting our normal quota of 7-9 days of consistent dryness. There has been severe flooding in the city this week. According to the latest statistics the online clothing market is bucking the general economic trend and continuing to grow – even though alot of the more famous bargain outlets do not have an online presence at all. There are a number of cheap fashion outlets in the UK high street at the moment and surely it is only a matter of time until they begin to establish a significant web presence. Some of these retailers offer good value, some are so-so. There are those that manage to balance great value with the latest fashions and materials.
