The second series of Flight of the Conchords started on BBC4 last week, and it has continued in the same quality vein as the first. For the uninitiated, Flight of the Conchords follows the adventures of (in their own words) “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo accapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo” – as they attempt to break New York City. What distinguishes the series from other more mundane sitcoms is that its essentially a musical, the songs are often superb! and very funny indeed. The duo also have a live show, which looks like it is at least as funny as the show itself.
Here is ‘Fashion is Danger’ from series two. Some of the styles being parodied are truly hilarious. The song itself is a great take on Fashion by David Bowie – one of our fave tunes. Enjoy.
